Prevents gas leakage in case of damage or loosening of the hose line and closes the gas passage as soon as the nominal flow rate is exceeded by 10 %. Automatic hose rupture protection SBS:

opens automatically, resulting in low leakage gas quantity and delayed opening in case of long hose assemblies. Hose assemblies longer than 400 mm must be protected with an SBS hose breakage protection device in accordance with the requirements of the DGUV regulation 79 (German statutory accident insurance - previously BGV D 34). Hose assemblies longer than 1500 mm must be protected with an SBS hose breakage protection device in accordance with DVGW worksheet G 612.
